1、 Customer background
TS Chocolate Manufacturing Company in Belgium is a well-established enterprise with many years of history, focusing on the research and development, production, and sales of high-end chocolate products, which are exported to multiple regions both domestically and internationally. With the intensification of market competition and the continuous improvement of consumers’ requirements for food quality, the company’s quality control in the chocolate production process has become increasingly strict.
In the chocolate production process, impurities in the raw materials can seriously affect the taste and quality of the product. Especially for some subtle ferromagnetic impurities, even if the content is extremely low, they can bring extremely poor consumer experience when consumed, and even trigger customer complaints, causing damage to brand reputation. Previously, the filtering equipment used by the company was unable to effectively filter out micron level impurities, resulting in a high product defect rate, with an average monthly loss of hundreds of thousands of yuan due to impurity issues.
2、 Solution
To solve this problem, TS Chocolate Manufacturing Company has introduced our developed magnetic rod filter with a filtration accuracy of 2 microns. The filter adopts a double-layer cylinder design, with the outer cylinder providing protection and insulation, effectively reducing the influence of external environment on the internal filtration process and maintaining the flow of chocolate slurry at a suitable temperature. The inner cylinder is the core filtration area, with high-strength magnetic rods evenly arranged inside, which can generate strong magnetic field strength and ensure efficient adsorption of small ferromagnetic impurities.
During installation, connect the magnetic rod filter in series with the chocolate slurry conveying pipeline, making it a critical link in the production process. During the production process, chocolate slurry passes through a filter at a stable flow rate, and ferromagnetic impurities of 2 microns or more are quickly adsorbed on the surface of the magnetic rod under the strong magnetic field, thereby achieving separation from the chocolate slurry.
3、 Implementation process
After the magnetic rod filter was put into use, it significantly improved the product quality of TS Chocolate Manufacturing Company. After testing, the content of ferromagnetic impurities in chocolate products has been almost reduced to zero, and the product defect rate has decreased from 5% to below 0.5%. The loss of defective products caused by impurity problems has been greatly reduced, which can save the company about 3 million yuan in costs annually.
