Precise Work Condition Matching: Solving the Core Pain Point of Avocado Black Water Separation
The Ugandan customer is focused on the avocado processing industry. During the production process, they need to separate the solid and liquid components of the dark black water produced after avocado juice extraction and mixing. This medium has clear working condition characteristics: pH value of 4.5 (acidic), maximum temperature of 60°C, and a solid content of up to 20%. The equipment is required to handle an average of 120 tons per day and meet the demand for continuous automated operation to reduce labor costs. The customer has three core demands: first, the equipment material must be resistant to acidic media to avoid corrosion and leakage; second, the separation efficiency must be stable, effectively retaining 20% of solid impurities to ensure the clarity of the filtrate; third, it must achieve full automation, covering the entire process from feeding to unloading, and be suitable for on-site operation scenarios. Additionally, it needs to be equipped with sufficient spare parts to ensure long-term stable operation.
Upon receiving the requirements, the Juenyi technical team promptly began to analyze the working conditions and customize the solution: Considering the acidic nature and high solid content of the avocado black water, PP material, which is resistant to acid and corrosion, was selected as the core material for the filter plates, and polypropylene 750B type filter cloth was used to avoid the risk of medium corrosion from the source. Combining the daily processing capacity of 120 tons and the demand for automation, the XAYZ250/1250 type automatic plate-pulling box structure was determined, equipped with an “1 pull 3 with vibration” automatic plate-pulling system and a hydraulic pressing device to achieve fully unmanned operation. To meet the demand for feed pressure control, a pressure transmitter and PLC control system were integrated, setting a pressure trigger delay shutdown logic to ensure the stability of the filtration process. At the same time, in response to the customer’s long-term operation and maintenance needs, multiple sets of filter cloth, filter plates, and rotors were additionally configured as spare parts to ensure long-term stable operation. After the technical solution was confirmed by the customer, production and inventory preparation were quickly initiated.
Precision Customization: Dual Empowerment of Automation and Durability
To ensure the stable and reliable operation of the equipment under acidic and high solid content working conditions, Juenyi implemented meticulous control throughout the production process, strictly adhering to the customized standards from component selection to complete assembly:
• Core structure and automation adaptation: A box-type dark flow design with a 250㎡ filtration area was adopted, equipped with 93 pieces of 1250×1250mm, 65mm thick PP filter plates and 2 head and tail plates, with a total filter chamber capacity of 3735L. Polypropylene 750B type filter cloth (93+1 set standard + 292 sets of spare) was used to precisely match the separation requirements of 20% solid content. A Siemens PLC control system was integrated to achieve full automation of the entire process from “cylinder pressing → feed pump operation → pressure trigger shutdown → cylinder return → automatic plate-pulling → vibration unloading”. The plate-pulling motor was designed with a 0.75kw variable frequency, and the vibration unloading function ensured thorough cake detachment, avoiding adhesion and blockage.
• Precise material and parameter matching: The entire machine frame was treated with carbon steel spray painting, and the filter plates and filter cloth were made of acid-resistant materials. The feed pump was a stainless steel rotor pump (304 stainless steel for liquid contact parts), resistant to acidic medium corrosion. The equipment was adapted to 400V, 50Hz three-phase voltage, meeting the local industrial power standards in Uganda. The feed port diameter was DN80, connected with national standard chemical industry flange, and the feed pressure was controlled at 0.6-0.8Mpa. The hydraulic station was equipped with a 5.5kw plunger pump and a 200L oil tank, with a cylinder pressure of 18-20Mpa, ensuring sufficient pressing force and no leakage risk.
• Comprehensive quality verification: After assembly, the equipment underwent specialized trial operation tests, focusing on verifying the automation operation logic, stability of the hydraulic system, filter plate sealing, and clarity of the filtrate, as well as testing the trigger accuracy and delay shutdown function of the pressure transmitter. All components were inspected for appearance and function, including the smoothness of the automatic plate-pulling and the effectiveness of the vibration unloading, ensuring the equipment could be put into use immediately upon unpacking. The accompanying stainless steel rotor pump and spare rotors were tested separately to ensure the compatibility of the external equipment with the main unit.
