A precious metal refining plant located in Lima, Peru, mainly recovers precious metals such as gold and silver from electronic waste. During the refining process, a large amount of chemical sludge containing neutral neutralizing solutions is produced. Each batch weighs approximately 8-12 kilograms. The sludge has a strong acidity and high corrosiveness.
This client previously used an open plate-and-frame filter press, which had problems such as severe leakage, unsafe operation, and frequent filter cloth replacements. The client now requires a small, sealed, acid-resistant solid-liquid separation equipment with a filtration accuracy of 5-10 microns, and it should be able to adapt to different acid-base conditions.
We have provided the customers with a manual small sealed filter press (XAQ2-320/30), with the following configuration:
Filter area: 2 square meters
Filter plate: Made of PP material, with fluorine rubber sealing.
Rack: 316L stainless steel enclosure
Supplementary items: PVDF pneumatic diaphragm pump and SS316L piping
An additional blind plate is provided for adjusting the filtration volume.
Usage Effect:
The equipment is completely sealed with no leakage, significantly enhancing operational safety.
The fluorine rubber seals and the PP filter plates are resistant to aqua regia corrosion and have a long service life.
The manual jack pressing method does not require electricity and is suitable for small-scale intermittent production.
The customer stated that the equipment is compact, the filtration effect is stable, and the moisture content of the filter cake is low.
